Who We are

HPV Consortium is a multidisciplinary research and implementation group based at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI). We are committed to reducing the burden of HPV-related cancers in Nigeria and contributing to global efforts toward cervical cancer elimination. Anchored by the expertise of Professor Morhason-Bello and supported by a vibrant team of clinicians, public health researchers, statisticians, and laboratory scientists, the Consortium is uniquely positioned at the intersection of academic excellence, clinical service, and community impact. We focus on the full continuum of HPV care; from prevention to early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Our Consortium operates in collaboration with multiple stakeholders including the University College Hospital (UCH), Federal and State Ministries of Health, National and State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (PHCDA), community-based organizations, international research institutions, and development partners.
